Optimizing Thermal Management with Regulated Jet Impingement Boiling Cooling and Transverse Airflow: A Parametric Analysis

Résumé

In our pursuit of refining water jet impingement boiling cooling with transverse airflow for enhanced thermal management, an extensive experimental investigation has been conducted to assess the influence of key hydraulic and aeraulic parameters on cooling performance. These parameters include air flow rate, jet orientation, jet spacing, and jet diameter, which collectively impact cooling efficiency, temperature control, and uniformity of the upper surface in contact with the manufactured component. Our findings reveal compelling insights: optimizing these parameters led to marked improvements in thermal management, ensuring consistent product quality. Further, cooling regulation mechanisms have been integrated, achieving precise control over the cooling rate. These outcomes hold promising implications for various industrial applications, particularly in shaping thermoplastic matrix composite materials, where precise and uniform cooling is vital for product quality assurance. This research aims to define the optimal jet configuration for more efficient heat dissipation while maintaining precise temperature control and enhanced cooling uniformity. This study offers promising prospects for designing more efficient cooling systems in various industrial applications, thereby contributing to improving manufacturing process performance.
